Hello fellow aviators,

I remember seeing a post about this subject but could not find it. So please forgive the re-run.

Does anyone know or have loss of Medical?License Insurance for pilots? Is there such a thing? Is it affordable? Can someone please point me in the right direction to look into getting something like this?

Thanks in Advance.

Harvey Watt in the ATL area is a long time provider of "loss of medical" insurance. They've been around as long as I can remember....decades. ALPA also has it if you've got access to it that way.

I took Watt over ALPA, but can't remember why. Maybe I should have "Loss of Memory" insurance !

NL,

If I remember correctly, after a 12 month waiting period you get a monthly income the amount of which varies with the amount of your policy. I think there may be a lump sump provision as an option.

Contact Watt, they'll be MORE than happy to talk to you.

Hi all,

A very important to consider with loss of license insurance is to make your insurance pays out even if you are able to hold other work. Some try to snake around this.

Best,
Nu
