CFI School is managed by Will DeGraw and Matt Benger. In addition to supervising all instruction conducted at CFI School, Will and Matt provide most of the Flight Instructor and ATP training themselves.

Will DeGraw is a Gold Seal Flight Instructor and FAA Designated Pilot & Flight Instructor Examiner. He is highly experienced in training and testing CFIs (over 1,000) and knows exactly what is required to pass the practical test. In addition to his normal testing activities, he is periodically authorized to conduct Initial Flight Instructor Certification practical tests.

Matt Benger is a highly accomplished flight instructor. A full time flight instructor the last eight years, he spent five as a check instructor in a busy Pilot School. There, in addition to training & testing students, he was tasked with the supervision and professional development of newly hired instructors.

While I'm not inclined to rush back to Oklahoma and enroll, in all fairness these guys had little, if anything, to do with the Airman fracas. You can thank Ms. Keene, Mr. Davis, and a certain Asst. District Attorney, who are all under the impression their sh!t doesn't stink, for that.

Will DeGraw actually felt bad for the students- and helped a lot of the guys who had already lost their asses by waiving exam fee's, providing free instruction etc. Don't blame Will or Matt- they didn't have anything to do with Airman going belly up, nor did they profit from it- when you do, it's called 'slander'.

It is not "slander" if it is written--as on this web page. If the defaming comments are written--instead of spoken--it is called "libel." I highly doubt that what agpilot34 wrote is libel and he does not specifically blame Messrs. Will and Matt. It is speculation on agpilot's part that "they" [this new flight school] may in the future "screw" students out of their money. Then again they may not. This is simply his prediction for a future event.

In all fairness to you, WoofWoof, he did state "how many students they will screw out of their money THIS time" implying that sometime in the past that "they" had done something wrong. However, he does not explicitly name any individuals or CFI school. He could reasonably be refering to Airman, which based upon the comments of the other writers in this thread, did engage in some wrongdoing. Truth is an absolute defense to lible, defamation, and slander.
