If you can hold on, UFlyMike is predicting a July launch for its new product, called "Harmony." It's a modular unit that works with any headset, including the new Bose QC-25, along with the QC-2 and the QC-15 (plus any other personal stuff you may have).
Price for QC-25 is $299, like the QC-2 and -15 before it, and UFlyMike says he's expecting the "same price for the new Harmony as he was charging for the last generation of UFlyMikes." That would make buying the whole setup the same total price as before.

And according to the website and the guy in the Bose store, the new QC-25 has a passive mode, so that even if you don't notice the battery dying, it still works with no power; just no active noise cancellation. That means a TSO with no stupid restrictions on an extra earphone in the cup, like we have now.
