I'm looking for suggestions on where to get cheap, yet good multi experience in central Florida. I'd like to get the MEI and checkout at the same time if possible for future rentals. I already have my Comm multi, but need to build more time.

Anyone know of a school, owner or place with preferably Senecas, Duchesses or Seminoles in central Florida that'll let you rent their multi(s) after a 5-10hr checkout and/or training for a rating?

Also, suggestions on good honest people or businesses with multi's are appreciated (even if they cost somewhat more)!

Anyone have and experience from similar things in the area that you were satisfied with?, If so, tell me more...

Thanks!

Try Avion at SFB. Seminoles and a Duchess, relatively cheap, don't know the details of the checkout but had a buddy do it in one flight.

Re: hey...me too

So far, the best I've come across seems to be Wrightway in DAB and Aviator in FPR. There are of course others too, but it's hard to find a place that is cheap, yet still well maintained and doesn't have too steep insurance minimums. Most want you to have at least 50 total multi or 25 in type, but it varies depending on if you take a course there or split time.

Aviator has a time building program where you share time with someone else for $54.95/hr ($109.9/hr for the plane, but they won't let you rent solo). You obviously can't beat the price at this place, but it's set up for you to get lots of time quickly and yes, they do fly the hell out of their airplanes.

Wrightway also has a time building setup and you pay $73/hr if sharing or $146 if renting solo. If you buy blocktime it's cheaper. Wrightway seems to be a class "A" place too and the only negative thing I can think of is that they're located in DAB which can get quite crazy with traffic sometimes with Riddle and several other operators on the field. That's great if you need the practice in a high density training environment, but it's not so fun when you realize that you're burning multi time on the ground waiting for takeoff #7 in sequence after a 3 minute wake turbulence hold...

BTW, all time building at these places is done under 91.109 (safety pilot) unless at least one of the pilots has his MEI, then it's a little more flexible.

I'll keep looking... if anyone else, have any other suggestions on other places to build multi time, let us know!
