Purdue, Not to be negative but, If the type rating is for you, with 330 hours, IMHO it would be a waste of time and money. Assuming you can pass the exam. If you want a type rating in a jet, look into a Citation 500 series. It would also be a challenge for a 300 hour pilot but at least you would have a glimmer of hope of flying one in the next 3 years.
The CE-500 type would also be cheaper since he would most likely need to do the type ride in the actual airplane. I think you need about 1500 total and around 500 turbine to get an initial type using only a simulator.
