Doing the initial lear 45 type in Jan at flight safety Atlanta. Any helpful advice? I'm a regional rat so I don't really know how the training is at F.S. length, schedule, etc

Former regional rat here also. I did the 31a school there a year ago, so I can't say much about the 45, other than I belive it's 3 weeks long. You will find the training is much better and easier than at your current regional. Stay at the Hilton, and eat at Malone's.

Don't the E145 and the L45 both use the Primus 1000 system up front? That's what I thought. Should make for an easier transition...

The training is 17 days total. The first week is ground school from 8am-5pm. I think there is a CPT in the sim on Saturday. The next week is sim training. If you have sim from 7am-noon then you are free the rest of the day. There is nothing scheduled on the second weekend. Sim training on Monday, oral and check ride on Tuesday or Wednesday. Definitely know the limitations and memory items. Good Luck. It has been a while since I was at LR45 initial, but it should be something close to the schedule above.

Yum Yum! They should apologise to the entire aviation community for typing you! Finish 300 school yet?

I am definitely proof positive that Flight Safety will type just about anyone. I leave for Challenger school on Jan 7. I told the better half to leave the porch light on for you.

know how to load an approach in the FMS with your eys closed. UNS FMS in the 45, all approaches except ILS are flown with the FMS unless they want to see a "green data" VOR or NDB. Also, holding patterns in the FMS.
