Hi all you cargo dogs! I am throwing out a blind request to any Texas cargo pilot that might know of some direction or tips on where to start in my job search in Texas. I am 130 x-country hrs. shy of getting my ATP and have a good amount of multi time (500+) I've already explored airnav.com and despite the multitude of company listings most of these are large conglomerates. There are many small companies listed however the cargo companies are very hard to track down. Any suggestions?

I don't know if this will help somebody

But... go to this website. Look on the menu bar at the top of the page. Click on the block that says operators...you will be provided a list of 135 and maybe some 121 operations. Take a few minutes to look through the website...there is also a caravan pilots message board there. Maybe someone there can help you out in your search for gainfull employment in aviation.

good luck in your endevours!

Ameristar in Dallas probably won't have another class for a few months but you can get your resume in. You might want to look at Cherry Air in Dallas and American Jet International out of Houston. A long shot would also be USA Jet and Kallitta out of Detroit, I believe they both keep planes and crews in Texas. Good Luck.

MartinAire would also be a possibility.... Dallas based caravan operator. UPS Feeder. Although, they might have you based outside of Dallas. It was my first 135 operator to work for, and I think it was a good place to start.

Good Luck...
