Anyone know how to begin to get set up with some contract work around the southeast? G-100/IA-1125 typed and current, typed and still current on CL-65 for a couple of more weeks(which probably doesn't help at all). Thanks all for any help.
Svcta, First of all good luck in you quest. I hope someone besides myself wouldn't mind jumping on the keyboard here and helping with some ideas or send you a pm in an effort to help another person.
List your resume and qualifications on every sight available. Put your resume on Career Builder as well. How many hours Total time do you have? You need not disclose this on this website. Get a business card printed up. Join NBAA and attend some conventions, a great way to network and meet others.
Have someone professionally do your resume. Make a cold call now and then and fax and snail mail your resume. What part of the U.S. are you limited too?
Maybe there is a Chief pilot now, who may see this and send you a pm. Check some of the profiles on this board whom have similar ratings and send them a friendly pm. The squeaky wheel, willing and able to go gets the grease!
Sct, everyone can do what they want. Did you help the poster or you posted because I did. I happen to live with a wonderful pilot, who will help anyone. Yes, I'm female and not a pilot, but in all sincerity, to the poster, he will go far. I wish him the best.
I try to keep a positive attitude, there are so many qualified, Good, people, looking for work, I try to help only. People will continue to check here, they may go to other message boards for the chat, but in reality, there are so many websites with hot jobs! I am personally willing to help anyone or offer a lead if i have one.
good luck to our pilots and they are not just guys! they are women too!
I guess I need to add a little more info....just to keep things on track:
I already have a job flying for someone, but I have a lot of down time and I'd love to pick up a few things in my spare time just to be helpful and make some extra money.
I personally do not know of any G100 operations here in the SE. Have you checked w/ the G100 program manager at FS SAV? I'm sure he/she could give you some leads.
Actually the program is @ DFW. That's a good idea, though...I'll keep that up my sleeve. I know of another G100/Astra close to where ours is based, and have recently found a couple more just a couple of hours away with some help from a user here.
