After reading that, I think I'll go take the train.

And I'm afraid to get on an RJ now!

Go to 350 and just look at the job openings overseas, the worldwide pilot shortage will continue to grow.

PFT in an actual RJ!!!

I can see the classified ads already:

"Now, with as little as 70hrs flight experience, you too can fly for (add bottom feeder airline here)! Get your commercial multi instrument ratings while you learn to fly an actual Jet Airliner in commercial service under the guidance of one of our experienced line captains! Why spend hundreds of wasted hours being a CFI when you can start tomorrow in a shiny new Jet Airliner? Just $49,995.00 for the complete 8 week course (and we'll even pay you $250/week while you train!). Guarenteed interview at the end of the course!"

Some regionals have already lowered their minimums to 500TT, so its just a matter of time before this becomes reality.

Wow!

Can't let this one go...

It literally is true... "Look ma, I'm a pilot!" Only these guys (South African Airways) operate A319's, A340's, B737's and B747's instead of RJ's. Plus according to this thread on the pprune forum, South African Airways is doing this on account of Affirmative Action.

So, sign up all you low-timers! Just do not bother if you are not a black pilot from South Africa.
