Universal works for both the iphone and ipad. You can technically use the iphone app on the ipad, but with the iphone sized image.

I don't know of all the differences but the ipad does have some more features. I use it myself, it works nicely. I recommend it if you are willing to spend some extra.

They are all under version 6 now. If you just want the ipad version, it would be cheaper than the universal.
