All,
Hoping to garner some advice from you more experienced pilots and hope this question has not been answered in another thread. I'm wondering if logging simulated instrument time and approaches in a sim is ever a problem/flag with interviews. I'm not doing anything controversial like trying to add total or PIC, but just want to make sure that I'm not causing myself any problems. Thanks.

I log sim time as sim time and nothing else. Not sure if it is pollitically correct to count it as total time or not.

Ex Jarhead ALQ-126 and ALR-67 technician.

Crowbar,
Thanks - those boxes gave us peace of mind flying over the beach. I'm with you on not logging total or anything, but just want to make sure that logging a bunch of approaches is not a problem.

sim time

if its level D you can technically log it as total time if i am not mistaken, but otherwise it's all cool to count approach currency under sim time.

That is what I was told as well. I personally do not count it towards my TT since it's a small number anyway.

RIOtoPilot,

Did those boxes really work or just give you piece of mind?

do a search, talked about 1000X

sim time is just that - sim time.

logging it as anything else is hokey. is it legal? I dunno....whatever.....but why open a can of worms at an interview?

Thanks to all. Crowbar - the systems worked as advertised. We had an outstanding IWT shop in my squadron and they made sure all AT gripes were taken care of.

Thanks, I would like to have seen some of that stuff working for real, all I ever got to do was test the systems on the ground.

SAM in the 135 quadrant, let's go ballistic Mav.
