Hey, just wanted to see if any professional airline pilots out there have logged the majority of your flight time overseas. I have been thinking about a flying job overseas, and want to know if there are any hitches in logging this time for airline interview purposes. Thanks for your thoughts on this subject.:)

I cant see how it would be a problem..??

It will certainly bring up questions - just keep good records aside from your logbook itself. (checkride forms, paystubs etc etc..)

What kind of overseas flying? airline type? chasing game around africa in a C152? time is time but some is far more valuable than others...

just keep in mind its about learning and experience, not just number building! -- and with the current pathtic a$$ state of our industry, it may be a good time to take off and do something you may never be able to do later

(If not now, when?)

have fun!!!

Thanks G-2, the flying is transporting pax and cargo for missions work (non-profit), but it is a volunteer pilot position (you don't get paid). I guess that would fall under Part 91? What would the airlines think about that.:)
