I bought an used 2002 Jeppesen PPL kit last year and it came with a logbook. The first page where the pilot info is has the guy's name and address written on it. Can I just cross it out and write my name and address on it? The logbook is brand new except for hese two lines.

BS. I cross out a lot of things in my logbook. It has not affected me. What reg are you looking at?

Just a hook, no bait, not even a squirt of that smelly stuff, and look what he caught.

Logbook

Yes you can still use the logbook. Just mark out the guys name and put yours in there. When you are logging time, white out is not recommended to correct mistakes, mark them out and put the correct number next to it. There is not a reg. These guys are messing with you. Good luck in your flying.

I never use white out, and I never cross out anything. If I make a mistake, I just get a fresh new logbook and start over. I have a closet full of logbooks that end in a mistake. I can give you my latest mistake (8 thousand sumpthin hours) if you want to run the risk of getting caught with the cross-out, but the deal is gonna hafta involve the Mormon girl in the blue t-shirt. :)
