I finally escaped this hellhole called MESA. For those of you who are considering coming here or have already started ground school, let me enlighten you...
I came here for domicle reasons and a quick upgrade...I heard all the negative comments and thought "it really can't be that bad". I was stubborn, hard-headed, naive to think that this held no validity and I wasted 8 months of my life here. I realize one week after I finished my checkride that I made and huge mistake. I got what I deserved.
QOL is non-existent...domicles are constantly opening and closing and guess what you're going to go to the worst ones. Life as you know it will be over. The appropriate term is "indentured servant".
Fortunately I fly for the Air Guard and only actually flew one week here in 8 months. After 1 week on the line I jumped at the chance to escape Mesa to go to Afganistan. I would rather be shot at in Afganistan than work at Mesa.
Bottom Line...if you can get hired at Mesa you can go somewhere else that is much better. The regional that I'm at now still has its issues, but is far superior. It's disheartening to see people still accepting positions with mesa when there are soo many people that currently work there pleading not to come to mesa.
