Hey folks,

I just read an article about a flight school in Florida that put an order in for 35 Liberty XL-2 aircraft. I've only seen one of these aircraft once about 2 years ago at a EAA regional Fly-in. I'm just curious if any of you folks have done any flying in them and how you like them. I'm curious to see how the FADEC's are working out. 5gph in cruise without ever touching a mixture setting sounds pretty good for the industry. The way fuel prices have been going it seems this type of system/aircraft is a smart idea. I just wonder how well they'll hold up in the flight training environment.

Also, anyone know if they're certified for spins? They weren't a couple years ago.

Looks like an interesting airplane for sure. But I don't really like the idea of the finger tip brake things. It does look a lot more comfortable than the Diamond DA20 though.
