You say that- but you couldn't afford that. Do you only care about people who think like you- act like you? I'm glad california's so diverse- makes it a better place IMO. Makes groupthink a bit more challenging though- you might need a place in the woods or a nice sheltered gated community where you can sit back and piss and moan why everyone else is so screwed up--
1) I do mean it. CA is a sinking ship, and a source for many of America's ills, both cultural and economic. I don't think we can afford not to let them fail and be "fixed" or cut em off. You really overestimate CA's future and underestimate all of the intangibles, Wavy.
2) Almost no one thinks or acts like me. That is fine with me. What I have noticed tho, when I find things in common with others, we come to it by chance, and have each found our own paths to get there. The only thing in common is our shared goals and destinations - Freedom, liberty and economic prosperity.
When I have participated in public advocacy, I have driven myself, or usually carpooled with my fellow eeevil conservatives. Not to save the world, but my personal wealff. Those who we meet in the streets, who assemble to counter protest us, are typically BUSSED IN, which is both paid for and organized by massively non-diverse financial sources. The drive by media shows up, takes close up pictures that minimize our comparatively massive turnout, and so close on the opposition, that you cannot see that it is 400 vs 50, in our favor. Our side knows to ignore the media, by now, as does 80% of the public, and the mind numb Obamabots feel good, having been willingly duped. All standard stuff.
The libs who claim to be all about "tolerance, and diversity" all march to the beat of very few drummers indeed. Look at what happens if you leave the lockstep: Sen. Lieberman, under the bus, Lib HRep DeFazio "don't think we're not keeping score BROTHER!" -Obongo, there are so many more.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfL-Oj1rQ-c - He don't look or act like me, but he does sing as poorly as I do. He has a much nicer tan, too.
3) You fail at attempting to marginalize my position "go to the woods or in a gated community." I have been in the streets and talk freely with others. It not to bitch and moan, but rather to commiserate, motivate and celebrate what the old white men had in mind when this American experiment began. Thanks for not going to name calling, a typical lib tactic. You are always nothing if not respectful, buddy!
