I'm interested in Flexjet and would like some input from the people that actually fly for them. I'm currently a Lear captain for a charter company and enjoy the flying but, like most charter companies the schedule can be trying at times to say the least. Are most of the crews that you fly with satisfied with the: scheduling, new payscale and the company as a whole? I don't want to hear about Netjets or how great the new contract is at Netjets. My main interest in Flexjet over Netjets is the equipment.

It's a good company. Expect to sit right seat 3 or 4 years.

If you upgrade to captain in 4th year, do you receive 4th year captain pay?

Whatever year you upgrade, your receive prior years pay. I.E. 4th year FO, 3rd year CPT pay.

Bases are DAL, TEB, FLL, ONT. You can live where ever you want, but it is your responsibility to be within 1:30 minutes of your base by 00:00 the date of your rotation.

Hammer, right seat for 4 to 5 years? you dont work at flex do you? the upgrade time right now is just under 2 years. All the recent upgrades have been here less than 2 years and it is expected to stay that way.

Didn't say 4 or 5 years. You get the letter for the audit. That makes bombardier a tight wad. Good way to treat employees.

Let's say you get hired onto the CL300. Could you stay on that aircraft and then ultimately upgrade to Captain on it or would you have to go to the Lear 40/45 or 60 for you first Captain slot? Could you conceivably stay on the CL300 for your career at Flex if you were hired onto it? Not saying that I would but I know some people get comfortable on one aircraft type and that CL300 sounds like a great aircraft to fly...

Pardon me. you said 3 or 4 years and the answer to that is still NO. Upgrade is right at 2 yrs.

Heavy set, ALL upgrades go into the lear; 45 or 60.

Unfortunately, no. Everyone upgrades into the Lear's. The reason being is that the Challengers pay more then the Lear's do. Now, there is always the possibility that you could upgrade into it, but you might have better luck picking the right 6 numbers of the lotto :D . If business needs prompted an upgrade into the 300, it could happen.

The 300 is a great airplane to fly by the way.
