Leaving ASA for greener pastures... To all of the pilots out there, thanks for some great times.

Good Luck to all of you.

oh, and Brian, FU

Good Luck to you! Hope to be outta here soon myself!!!

Heard Carl ¨junior¨Childree got the nod at big D, just waiting on a class date.
Some things never cease to amaze me.

When I left delivered my resignation to Scott Hall and he began to tell me what was wrong with SWA. I stood there and had to listen why Jackson Mississippi was dragging SWA down. I just wanted to thank him for the job nothing more or less. Good luck with your new job, where ever it is.

When I left for Gemini in 1999 Drew B. pulled me into an office, shut the door and told me how bad I was screwing up.

Drew's a school teacher / Professor now. Could have had a mid eighties date of hire at Delta based on his Ransome / Pan Am / Delta seniority had he not gone into management.

Who knows what the best choices are? Professors can earn some good coin if tenured in the right place. But, he he, none of them are making FedEx style earnings. Good for you!

Here is the deal; I'm leaving in the first couple of days of august for training. My anniversary is on in the 2nd week of august. I have one week of vacation to burn. I would like to be resigning around the 14th of AUG and can only work on the 1st of august. This would allow me to assign some new buddy passes for the next year any one have any suggestions on how to bid. Also some info on how the resignation process works. I've been told that you can’t call in in your last two weeks and get paid for it.

If you give your two weeks, turn in all your manuals, SIDA, Crew ID and Parking medallion and work as scheduled, they will pay you your vacation that you are due. I got my check 3 weeks after I left in March.

You have to use your buddy passes prior to your termination date, I got this info from the Delta pass bureau. Family fares purchased prior to your termination date are valid for 1 year from their purchase.

Buddy passes automatically cancel when they process your leaving date, so I wouldn't count on those!

As far as resigning try reading the contract 7.E.4. We are all at will employess at ASA - so when you resign you get paid for what you work. The two weeks notice, and whether you work it determines only if you get paid for accrued vacation for this year.

You will be paid for accrued, vested vacation from last year that you haven't taken yet.

In order to be paid for vacation you accrue this year you have to give two weeks notice, work the schedule you had when you gave notice and you can only call in sick on one day of the two weeks (not the last day)

I heard Drew was caught on NBC's "To Catch a Predator" and had a pic of BL dressed as a Catholic school girl in his wallet......
