My old Co did not have a blazer, and I couldn't afford the Leather. Now I have the option of doing both, what do ya'll suggest.

I will be in ORD and walking to the train 365...

Why not both? But if you had to choose, I'd go with the leather since it will keep you warmer during the Chicago winter. Plus you can take off the epaulets on the train and put them back on when you get to the airport. I don't like standing out especially on the train when I'm away from the terminal but that's just me.

Blazer....
Leather with epaulets- dorky, pilot wannabe look.
Regardless, the blazer looks more professional. The only problem is,in winter you need something else, but the trench coat is cumbersome, especially in cramped cockpits...
I've been doing the wool sweater under the blazer for years, no trench coat needed, and plenty warm. Stay away from acrylic, though. Smelly and not warm...
the wool cardigan is the way to go. you can unbutton it, and you always have access to pockets...

For crying out loud, don't buy the leather! :puke:

Well, don't know about the stripes, but as far as leather...

I actually "fly" for a living, so leather works out great. :)

When I start pushing buttons I'll put on the coat. :)

Yeah especially on the mianline pilots who wear them. Those United and American guys are all just a bunch of wannabees.
