Hey guys, I just got hired at Chautauqua! Does anybody have any tips/suggestions for getting thru ground/flight training on the jet?

Thanks!

Yes, forget everything you have ever learned about airplanes. You are now in the realm of BRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLA, where everything is a bad portugues translation.

No really get used to saying 2 things. Whats that noise, and, what the hell s this thing doing now?

The ERJ is a great jet and they do a good job in training as well as in the sim. If you just pay pay attention and take notes, you'll be fine. Welcome to CHQ.

here you go.

PM stick man
he has every piece of info you need to go through that program. the POH from 'safety is alright but not specific enough to really know the airplane.

PM that guy. ask about it.

A company called Red Triangle Productions offers for the EMB-135/140/145 a computer based cockpit and aircraft systems training software package for less then $55. All cockpit switch and light functions on the panels and center pedestals are covered. Everything is referenced to integrated aircraft systems diagrams and explanations in the easy to use interactive software. Even EICAS messages and the associated panel indications are covered.

No computer skills are necessary and the software takes less then 10mb of hard drive space! If you can move your mouse, you can learn the Embraer's systems.

The program uses Microsoft Excel. If you don't have Excel you can get the free Microsoft Excel Viewer from the Red Triangle website. And best of all there's no charge for updates, revisions and extra copies. Have a copy on your computer at home and put one on your laptop that you travel with so you can review while on that 19 hour overnight in BFE. Even support is no charge, ever!

This is an established company providing system training software for Boeing, Airbus and Canadair aircraft. Over 10,000 pilots operating these aircraft types at US and foreign airlines have purchased it.

For the price of a good computer game you can reduce the stress of Embraer training and have a great tool for future systems review.
