Are you sure it's the winglets and not the delta fins? The 45 has a distinct rumble at all weights/altitudes from about .74 to .76, supposedly from the fins. Go faster or slower and you get nothing, but in that range it's very similar to the early onset of stall buffet. I've never checked it out from the cabin but it's very noticeable up front.
I have heard that it is actually the delta fins, I have also heard it is the winglets. I have also heard that some of the early 60's cracked their delta fins from guys flying them with the buzz all the time? I don't know, just trying to get some real answers.
I flew both the Lear 60 and the Lear 55 and both had the wing tip buzz. It could not be the delta fins since the model 55's i flew didnt have delta fins.
