Hey guys. With all the airlining we do in the fractional business, is anyone using the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 with UFlyMike adapter in the 45? I would like to be able to drown out all those babies, etc on all the flights, and have it double as a decent headset in the airplane.

If anyone is using it, how do you like it? If not, what headset do you recommend?

Take care,

Art V.

Art, I use the combination you describe on the Lear 40 / 45, and for the most part it works great. Really keeps the noise level down, and you aren't nearly as wrung out at the end of a long day. The pair is a little pricey. Right at $500 by online ordering from both Bose, and UFly-Mike, but the quality of both pieces is very good. During the month of June they, (Bose), had a special where they included a free MP3 player, pre-loaded with some 37 songs. I don't know if it is still available, but I sure enjoy using it while airlining. Just two somewhat negative comments: The boom mike attachment is only to the left earphone, making the cord akward to connect to the Lear headphone jacks if you fly from the right seat like I do. The other is that if your battery , (one AAA ) runs out, or you tug on the cord accidently, and just slightly pull UFly out of the Bose, you can be out of comm until you figure out what it was that caused it. I put a new battery in at the start of each trip.

The headset gives you plenty of warning before the battery completely dies. I've flown entire tours with the battery light blinking (low battery). When you bump the headset and the noise canceling momentarily goes out, you know it's getting ready to go. Time to change the battery before the next leg. Plus I always have a spare battery nearby just in case.
