I'm looking at a company with Lear 35s and 60s. My jet background is in Citations. I'm looking for the opinions of those who have flown both (flight characteristics, proficiency needed in one versus the other, etc.) Thanx
I have had the opportunity to sit in the sharp end of a couple Lear 60s (never flown it unfortunately) - it fit like an Italian glove. You'll love it! That airplane hauls a$$...
The average vref of the 60 is 135, much higher than the Citations.
The 60 will not stop like the Citations. Much higher climb rates than the Citations, ie 7000fpm is not uncommon. The 60 is underwinged, so anything above 450 is not advised. I know several guys that started out in the 60 that have not flown a jet before and did just fine, so good luck and enjoy a rocket!
