Hey Fellas,

Wanted to see if there are any leads for a recently retired A340/330, B747/737 airline driver. My father recently retired from an overseas airline (clue for the type of retirement pay he has received) and Im trying to help him find work. He is typed (out of currency) on the CE500 and is in the midst of getting his medical together. Any leads for P91/135 or FS/Simuflight would be much much appreciated. He is in the L.A. area but willing to relocate to the job anywhere in CA. Thanks much guys.

Thanks TC, I was just there in January for my Citation Type. Looks pretty tight knit...by the way I called and left a message on J's VM. Thanks again!

This is rather ironic ... son trying to get his dad work.

Is he threatening to move in with you, sit on your couch all day while watching cartoons and drink your beer?;) :D

Good luck to him and you.

Sorry I can't help out, but I'm just curious... how many hours did your dad finally retire with? And how long has he been flying?

After flying over 20years with the airlines, years in corporate, military and production flight tests, he retired with almost 20K. All those crossings in the B747, A330 and A340 and regional B737s adds up quick. He started flying professionally when he as 17.

Yup, even more ironic was that I never got or asked help from him in trying to build my own career. But who cares, it's only right...Hell, I'd help a friend out why not the ol man.

job for dad

Wow, I hope my son turns out like you, at least thinking about dad.

Pilot Pointer, AV Crew comm( both free). There is someone looking for a Citation 500 pilot that will spend 5 months of the year in the US,(California I guess, SFO most likely), and the rest of the time in Spain.

That actually sounds interesting, and depending upon your dad, agreeable.

Good luck

Thanks X. I'll pass on the lead to the ol' man. He's a lil itchy -- first time he has not been flying since he was 17.

...And thanks for the kudos....If I have enough compassion to help out my father who was absent most of my life (my parents divorced when I was an infant), I'm sure your son would do so much more.

Best of Luck.
