New Premium Airline to Begin Flights Oct. 15

New all-business class airline Primaris says it has received final authorizations from the Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and plans to commence flights Oct. 15.

The new Las Vegas-based airline will operate Boeing 757s in a four-abreast layout with service from Newark to Chicago Midway three times a day and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) twice a day. The airline also will operate between Chicago Midway and LAX twice a day.

Also...

Nice company, have lots of backing, doing proving runs last few weeks, plan on getting 4 more 75's over next few months and also have plans on flying to Europe, I believe I was told Frankfurt and Paris, from NY.

Company located at 375 East Warm Springs Rd Las Vegas Suite 210......Numbers in the phone book. Good luck to all applying.

Didn't a company named Legend try something like this?

I believe Conway was the guy who started up National, and previously worked at America West.

LAX to MDW? At least it may be another option for me to commute on. A nice wide seat would sure beat a skinny middle one anytime...

potrack,

That's what I mean...looks kinda fishy already. The job posting says something to the effect of, "type rated or have the 'ability' to get type rated". Gee, I wonder what that means...

who...or what...is Conway ??
Mike Conway was one of the original founders of America West. He then started up National in LAS. There is a lot of ill-will towards him because of the way National was shut down (and operated).

So true. Where do these people keep finding investors? I guess P.T. Barnum was right...

Kathy for CEO !!!!

K,

Yes, you should get the CEO job; you'd be ideal for it. Then I could send you my resume...oh, wait...you already have it. You won't make pilots pay for their 747 ratings, right ?

Of course I would not make the pilots pay for their 747 type ratings!

Seriously though, with the way some of the airlines are run, I think I could do a pretty good job.

I looked at their route structure and I think they are making a very big mistake running 747's in the U.S. However, I think their whole premise is to run more cargo - so they are basically a cargo operation with passengers as a side benefit. Who knows, it might work. Stranger things have been tried! :)

Hey guys and gals,

Where are you getting this 747 stuff, it shows a 757. It talks about the 757,and one of the articles about the trainer (procedures trainer is for a 757). Help find where it says 747?

B757

I've only heard of them using the B757 and the ex-National guys are chomping at the bit.

Sorry Guys,

The original subject got sidetracked. The 747 stuff relates to a proposed startup, Family Airlines. My fault...
