The latest awards have been posted. Now just 21 numbers from the bottom of the list. Hire date 8/27/2007 for DTW SF340 !!!! That's the last class shown on the latest seniority list.

No, they will be bypassed for 120 days so they will fly the line as an FO for a couple months. Street Captains to follow soon.

I wish all my old friends at XJ the best and Congrats. It's nice to see the ones that stuck it out get to see some fast movement.

For those that have been there for several years, please be diligent and watch them FOs close.

God help the Junior Captain and FO combos.

I've been there and went through it years ago.

Watch your a$$ and don't let anyone talk you into something you don't feel comfortable with. When push comes to shove there are some that will cut you loose and feed you to the FEDS.

Not true! If they are a SAAB FO they are going to training October 29th. The jet FOs are being bypassed.

Assuming you are talking about the Vikings, they are lucky they aren't 0-4. They could quite possibly be the worst team in the NFL. They need a new coach and some talent at QB for starters.

This will make the new hire CRJ FOs some of the highest paid FOs in the industry. Once the pilots bypassing them qualify, they will be paid SAAB Captain pay to fly in the right seat of the jet.

In my opinion, the seat lock at Mesaba is going to be the HOT topic over the next year or so. If they don't release it, street captains will be an operational necessity to staff the left seats of the CRJ's - both the -200 and -900. This is not going to sit well with many I suspect.

Per the contract, seat locks have to be released prior to street captains. My questions is, are they lifted as needed or once they are lifted they can not be reinstated. I also think many are waiting for the first of the year...but we still have two months and 5 vacancy postings to go.

My guess is that they will lower minimums to upgrade to ATP minimums before they release seatlocks.

upgrade mins were based on XJ block time/time spent at XJ. Both those stipulations are long gone. Upgrade time = ATP mins.

how do you know how many more vacancy's are planner this year, hulk hogan , you mentioned 2months (duh) and 5 more vacancy's, i was just curious where that number (5) came from , thanks

Company has said they plan two vacancies per month. Oct already has one vacancy and award. The Dec vacancies, I would think, will go more senior as classes should be starting in Jan after the holidays.

Considering how low the Captain awards are going, I think it would be reasonable to figure the company will be eager to hire as many pilots as quickly as they can.

Ya, the Vikings need a QB, and a secondary. Though everything associated with the run is good. We'll call it work-in-progress, not everyone can have Brett Favre.
