Many good companies will send you for the type (mine always have) if you have good PIC total time and time in something similar: If you are flying a Lear 25, you can probably get into a Hawker. From a Hawker or Lear 60, into a Challenger or Falcon. From a Falcon or Challenger, into a Gulfstream. Don't expect to move directly from a 757 or a Navajo directly into a large cabin corporate jet.X-FROG said:Does anyone know any company that is hiring for large cabin: captain/co-captain. I don't expect to jump into a boeing but I just want to get into a large cabin aircraft. I have over 6200 total with excellent Multi-turbine pic time. I will check into those companies and any other that anyone has heard about. Thanks again.

Most of the flight departments operating these types of larger equipment almost always will pay for the training and type. This especially holds true to the larger more well known corporate flight departments. If they have the money to be flying around a GV, BBJ, or comparable equipment then training and a type is somewhat pocket change for the majority of these folks. They also get X amount of types per airplane purchased so no reason why they would even ask the "applicant" to PFT. This should be viewed as a red flag and you shouldn't walk but instead run if you are asked to pay for the training at your expense.CaSyndrm said:I never paid for my own training and work in large cabin aircraft so the jobs must be out there.
