That short has been out for several years, and occasionally shows up again on this board.

If you watch the 'making of..' part of the website, you'll see that almost the entire film, including all of the DC-10 shots were computer generated. They shot the guy in the car on a freeway, and digitally edited out the rest of the cars. The old lady couldn't even drive, and there was someone else below steering as she drove. Just about everything else from the plane to the background scenery to the helicopters at the end are computer generated.
