Yes, I realize a bipolar disorder is disqualifying. But there are plenty of people, like myself, who would have never been identified as bipolar if they hadn't actively sought treatment. Bipolar disorder is not necessarily dehabilitating, usually doesn't involve psychosis, and is not easily identified, contrary to what our common misconceptions are. I'm sure there are plenty of bipolar pilots who have not been identified as bipolar pilots.

Anyway, thank you for the flight surgeon Web site. I understand that I am disqualified and I understand the reasons why. It's hard to take sitting down, though.
