Anyone coming back from La Paz, Mexico on Sunday, April 16th going back to Phoenix or anywhere I could get my g/f a cheap airline ticket back to Phoenix, and be willing to take a girl along with you? Our planes owner invited the captain's wife and my g/f along for the trip, but now he invited a bunch of other people to come back up with us... no room for my g/f now, and airline tickets are too expensive for a F/O to buy :( . She took the days off work and obviously is disappointed. If anyone has any good ideas for me let me know... thanks.

Not much of an invite if the boss isn't willing to keep a seat open for the return.

Expedia shows 400 bucks or so one way from SJD back to PHX. It's a hike from La Paz down to SJD...about 2.5 hrs by car...but a darn sight cheaper than the fares out of LAP.

I'm doing SJD to LAS on Monday, so I guess that won't help you out.

so your boss invited your g/f down and now has no room for her return and wont buy her a ticket?

Id let him fly his own POS Citation home and Id take an airline with your girl.

nice guy.

Yeah I looked all over for airfares, all kinds of combos with 2 and 3 connecting flights, couldn't find anything under 400 bucks... we were thinking about driving down to SJD and staying down there if there was a decent airfare. Thanks for the reply though.

I know, he really doesn't take other people into consideration a lot of times... in the past it has worked out usually. At least we booked a great hotel in La Paz, and I'm gonna drink for free all dang weekend!

There used to be a problem in Mexico with entering the country on a private aircraft and then departing on an airline. This may have changed but you may want to consider this.

Unless of course your g/f would like to visit a Mexican lock-up

Is this PT91 or 135?
If your boss won't buy her a ticket home, it's time to find a new job.

Last year my G/F was going to Puerto Vallarta with us. We ended up not having room for her. My boss bought her a roundtrip ticket plus covered all of her expenses for the entire trip. Business as usual for my boss.

There's no problem with entering Mexico on a private aircraft and leaving on an airline. Happens all the time...

English is correct. I used to do it all the time when I flew charter.

Its part 91, not the best corporate job ever but definitely not the worst, I make decent money as an f/o and only flying 5 days this month. They paid for my type and hired me when I only had 700 hours. Your job sounds good, are you offering me a position???? :D

You guys aren't paying attention to the proposed new tax laws. If your GF flys on a corporate A/C, you "could" have to pay her share of the hourly rate, i.e. 1000/hr, 4 pax, each pax responsible for 250/hr. Be REALLY careful. It ain't like it used to be.

Good point

The boss has tax attorneys plus an aviation attorney on retainer just for that purpose.

Our aircraft are family (not company) owned. Friends and family are always welcome. My CP's wife has been on almost as many trips this year as the boss!

HMR,
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I HATE YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But only because I'm as jealous as one can be. You my friend have one of the best gigs I've ever heard of and I've heard of many. Now when are you gonna get rid of that Astra so I can be even more pissed off at ya?

The Astra only has a few trips left.:bawling: I'm going to miss it. It's been a GREAT A/C for us.
Last month we took delivery of our Falcon 50.

PS- I PROMISE you I know of a couple local gigs that are "better" than ours, i.e. same schedule, great boss but bigger equipment and bigger paycheck.;)

What additional passengers;) ?

As was pointed out to me by our controller, the rule doesn't currently apply to us, but if it did "is there any requirement to list you passengers" ?

For domestic legs, we now simply assign the billed party (principle) and don't list any passengers.

Careful there. Hopefully the CFO does not through his brains completly out of the windw. The IRS will notice and they will ask. Not saying you have to list everyone, but think about completly changing your profile.

These guys love to go after aircraft owners, now ....

As for HMR ... now that your boss has a new toy than can actually go somewhere you might be expected to work ... say 4 days a month :crying:
