"Going out West where the wind blows tall."

I am going to be in LA 1/24 thru 1/28 looking for work around VNY SMO LAX SAN and LGB. I am looking for help trying to find operators 91 and 135 that fly the GIV in these areas. I am going to be using aircharterguide.com to help in my search but many places aren't listed on here. Can anyone help me with places hiring in the GIV 91 and 135. A company name and airport would be all I need, however a number and contact name would be extra nice. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Dude.

Leaving LAS.....

....change of plans from Las Vegas?

Didn't get a second call from the guy in time. So I am planning on getting what I need to do out of the way, and if things with Vegas turn around, heading out there from LA. The guy in Vegas is friends with several of my friends here in Fort Lauderdale, and I think he is just out of the country.

Some variety in life can be considered good. A different place every few months has never hurt anyone.

Not sure what you mean by that. Haven't had a full time job since May, all contract work. And before that October 2002. All part 135. Looking for something good and permanent, not hopping around. Thanks for the help anyways.

In fact I got a call from LAS standing in line to get on a flight to EWR, and start on Monday the 24th. Sounds like a wonderful job. What a day. They even upgraded me to a luxury car from a compact at no charge here in EWR.

Hit up the casino flight departments, how lucky are you?. Good money, good equipment, and nice quality of life. Harrah's has two 10's which are nice but the flight department is a royal b!tch to get on with. Park Place is in Signature (LAS) or atleast they were at one point. A good friend was getting $475.00 a day as a f/o on a contract basis with them flying the Gulfstream. Somewhat of a "good ole boy" network so to speak, the more you know the better. These positions seem like the nascar positions, usually they fill before they ever open up. I am somewhat out of that loop present day but if you have any questions I can probably obtain the answers for you.

good luck,

VNY Jobs

I think Clay Lacy flies G-IV/V out of VNY. There are a but load of Gulfstreams down at VNY, so you may want to try the "sollicitor" approach. THere is also an outfit out of SMO that flies Gulfstream stuff. The guys at Justice aviation at SMO should know who does. Ask for Joe Justice if he is avail.
