Great Job if you have a good attitude. I was there for a year ('04-'05). Pay for training has been gone for quite some time, and starting pay is now $1500/month. It was $1000 when I was there. Still one day a week off for your first year, but you can get more durring down times. MX is fair, but it may be different now, the director of MX from my time is gone. One advantage to LAB is that they serve more airfields than anyone else (Wings is a close second but operates floats too), and if your a good stick, you'll get the oportunity to fly in to some cool strips that some of the other operators would not let you do until you were with the company for some more time. Do a forum search and you'll see a lot of posts on L.A.B, ignore the ones who flame it. They either had a bad attitude or an isolated bad experience which could happen at almost any company. If you want to get your foot in the door it's a good oportunity. Dont count on a Chieftain upgrade. There are guys there who have been flying for LAB for years and you probably wont see it in less than a year. I was training for the Chieftain and Islander when I left for my current job. PM me with any other questions.
