I posted this here because a good friend of mine at United said that Korchmar is the case/flight kit that United sells through its supplier, and that, a lot of UA guys use this bag and it lasts them their entire career at UA.

Do any of you have any experience with Korchmar cases and can you recommend one? A little apprehensive about dropping $300.00 on a Scott case, and if the UA guys have been using these cases their whole career without any problems, I'd like to get one.

have had my bag for close to three years good bag excpet I was worned about the rivets on the handle when I bought it. even though, I bought it and I just got my bag back from them for yes the rivet on one of my handles broke.

Otherwise buy it you will not be disappointed. The bag is a little skinny not as wide as my old bag.

I have the same bag. Yes my handle rivets broke on my first one after a couple of years. Turns out the company is ten minutes from my house. Took it to them and they GAVE me a brand new one.

Just recently purchased a new flight bag by Crew Gear. Leather rapped around a steel frame. Wears like iron no rivet problems with the handle. !00 bucks less than the Korchmar bag. www.crewgear.com

I ordered a korchmar roller bag( ballistic nylon)--360 bucks... handle broke, pockets tore, ect. I was unhappy with it but recently ordered their standard leather flight bag/ roller bag version. I love it and it seems to be extremely well built. It hooks on your suitcase same as non roller version, but I prefer wheels so when I am forced to check suitcase I dont have to lug around 43 lbs all over the terminal
