I am going to initial on the KA 300 soon and was wondering how tuff the school was, and what I can do to best prepare. We will probably go to Simcom. I have heard that the single pilot ride can be pretty tuff.

I knew one ex airline pilot(tons of types) that got his butt kicked by the course and heard from other low time pilots that its not that bad. I have about 2100 tt 650 multi and almost no turbine or jet pic to really speak of.

If the 300 goes well my employer is going to keep me there another couple weeks for a jet type. Any details would a great help!

The 300 and 350 (same type rating) are relatively easy airplanes to operate, very pilot friendly and fukc up proof for the most part. You would really need to work at it to screw something up. I don't know who your ex airline pilot friend is but he must have worked at "getting his butt kicked". You should have no problems whatsoever long as you study a bit and put a little time in. The flying portion is the easy part, a little effort and work will have to be made during the oral portion of the ride.

good luck, (you shouldn't need much)

you shouldnt have any trouble. i did the 300 type at simuflite. it was a long course if you ask me. they did in two weeks what should have only taken about a week. the single pilot ride is not as bad as people think it is.

make note cards with ALL the limitations and whatever else they tell you will be on the ride and you will be fine.

have a great time!
