Talked with a long time friend in Memphis TN. They are looking for right seat pilot in Be-90 and Be200. He said they are looking into a Citation XL next year. I asked about pay scale but he said there enough young/low time pilots in the area instead of paying them.

Can I come work for free? I guess you really dont need money... You can sleep in a box and eat out of trash cans...

I don't like to tell someone how to run their company. Since you like to shout why don't you pm me and I will give you his phone number so that you can discuss it with him.

Well technically, it's not really a "job" then, is it? At least not to my way of thinking.

Here it is people.

I tried to help people out there and this is the response I get. I have always helpled others out when in time of need, but for some of you, you want to complain. For future references. Don't expect any help from me anymore.

Terry, I don't think it's complaining, and it's certainly not directed at you. But c'mon, you posted this on the Corporate board, which implies "professional", which by definition means (among other things) getting paid. What your friend is offering is a chance for someone to build multi-turbine experience, not a corporate job.

If your friend's operation doesn't require a second pilot, then it's nice he's allowing someone to get their first taste of burning kerosene. But by plunking someone in the right seat and checking them out, your friend realizes these things; heightened safety, reduced insurance rates, and greater peace of mind to pax because if he drops dead up there in the pointy end, someone will get them down alive. Those are proven, tangible, and intangible benefits.

No doubt in terms of experience, he will get what he pays for. You do indeed try and help others out, Terry. I've seen you do that on other threads, but in light of the fact that this position is no pay, perhaps it could have been better-targeted.
