but lets say for example you are a 4th year FO and are upgraded to captain at the same company. Do you get 4th years captain pay or 1st year captains pay?

At CommutAir, 1st year.

At every other airline on the planet, 4th year.

Yeah, it ticks me off a bit. :D
 
At Flight Options (while not a REAL airline :rolleyes: ), upgrade and go back to 1st year.

Go from 3rd year, 4th year whatever CA in any plane and go to a new plane as a CA ... Back to year one CA in that jet.

Still haven't figured out why except that they save a bunch of money.
