Facing the prospect of a lengthy stretch on reserve? Worried your skills might get rusty? No problem! A CL-65 add-on aircraft for Flight Sim 2002 just came out, it's pretty sweet. It's by Project Open Sky, available on http://www.avsim.com The panel isn't quite "there" yet, but the aircraft model itself is one of the best I've ever seen. This is into SLC, rwy 16L.

Actually, that's the glaring omission in the livery lineup. It's available in the following:

  • US Airways Express (Mesa)
  • Delta Connection (Comair, ASA, SkyWest versions)
  • Northwest Jet Airlink
  • America West Express
  • Frontier Jet Express
  • Midway
  • British Airways Express
Plus a handful of other foreign carriers.

The developers are still working on a "correct" cockpit (except in 3d view, where it's right), but it's still pretty cool.

Now I'm happy, I went on there and found a United Express RJ, Atlantic Coast Airlines version!! Too bad it has the Lear panel..

Check the FS2002 Panels section -- there's a compatible CRJ panel in there, tho it's clear the creators have never actually sat in one as the view perspectives seem like they were based off a cockpit photo off airliners.net.
