Hey,

Just wondering if anyone has the most current info about Kalitta? Yes, I've done a search, just looking for the latest. Do you get hired as an FO or SO? Do they airline you to your plane? I understand they have a TA out for ratification; is this true and are there improvements in the work rules? Is there any current numbers on upgrade or future growth? Thanks in advance.

In the contract, YIP is the base, but everybody gets airlined from home to work. 17 days on, 13 off. Months with 31 days you get 14 off.

In the past, low time guys get the FE seat, if you have 3000 hrs or so, you get the right seat. I dont reccomend low timers go to the engineer seat, whats the point if you cant get the hours to upgrade?

Seems there is growth, more airplanes coming from the word on the street. Lots of attrition with the furloughed guys leaving and other airlines hiring.

A good place to come and see the world, get the heavy time. We have fun most of the time.

kalitta

hey.
they are currently hiring, expecting a lot of new hire classses over the next year.a lot of people leaving for a multitude of reasons-major furloughees called back, fdx, ups, airtran, jetblue,sw etc.some didn't like the life so took jobs as sim instructors, some just left.
avg as a newhire f/o >4000tt,121 highly preferred.
so are varied between ex military fe's w no pilot ratings, and those from other companies w fe's...we did hire low time pilots as fe's,with no prior experience, but this is not a beginner f/e airplane,so didn't work out too well.
TA "may" come out in next few months,if proposal decent.don't hold your breath.

Yes (somewhat limited) and yes. Cass supposed to be coming though there are problems with the software they bought.

Any word on how much the pay might increase in the latest negotiations? Will there be language regarding airlining you in and out of home?

Thanks
