I've read a couple of older posts about Kalitta Charters, but I'm looking for some new and specific info:

What does the sim profile look like. What aircraft is the sim based on? Any specific interview question gouge? How long is training/ where at? What is a typical month like there for a new guy/ at the 2 year point? I know there is a 15 minute living distance from airport (I live about 14 minutes!), so does that mean pilots sit 15 minute reserve? Thanks for any and all info plus anything else you might know about the company.

This is old info but it sounds like they are doing things the same way. They had a rotating schedule (about 50 pilots) and, if you were near the the top of the list you had to be within 15 minutes of the airport. There was a 2 part interview process. 1st was with a HR person. The most interesting question was "What are the pros and cons of working as a pilot". That's a can of worms. Be careful. 2nd was with the Chief pilot and a Captain. More technical and related to the flying you are currently doing. Part 91 FARS and ME instrument procedures. They did not ask part 135 questions unless you were currently flying 135. Nothing unreasonable. I didn't take the job when offered (that day) strictly for personal reasons unrelated to the job itself. I just had a better opportunity closer to home.
