Kalitta is dropping plans to run an overnight air cargo freighter network. Kalitta was planning on replacing the network run by Kitty Hawk until last fall. Sighting high fuel costs, lack of freight forwarder commitment, and a weak economy as reasons for letting the deal fall through. Also a factor was that dedicated networks are falling from favor due expedited trucking, command carriage on forwarders such as BAX, and on-demand charter network abilities.

Well, sounds like the city of Ft. Wayne is officially f#cked. They have a multi-million dollar sort which they guaranteed the loan on,with no one to use it.
