Anybody here in the upcoming class?

Interviewed at the job fair in MIA, seems like it will be alot of fun.

If any current Kalitta guys on here, any advice?

Looking forward to the 747.

Thanks

I am on the July 11th class.
I was at Aeroservice MIA jobs fair too.

Good job! I am sure you are looking forward to analog after all of that glass experience... Automation is great up to a point, but more hand flying it is great too. I hear the 747 is a blast to fly.

What is the class date you got?
Did you have to do a sim ride at all?

We all did a sim ride, drug test, and a one on one interview.

Everybody was very nice and all said it was an interesting place to fly.

Also that upgrades were happening pretty quick, with lots of hiring in the future and additional airplanes on the way.

YIP is the base, but your actually home based from what eveybody is indicating.

If not, where did you do it?

No steam gauges, all Kalitta fleet is already partial glass as on 757 and 767 and they also have fms as well.
Make a research on Kalitta here on this forum. They all glass since march.

Plu airplanes with FE are the most automated airplanes in the world or have you seen any other airplane which is voice activated???
you say it the FE does...
you say set climb thrust and automaticaly set, you say it's to cold and the temp adjusts, you say gear down ...ooopps that's the only time I gotta work almost forgot....

I was told I am in the Sept. class and possibly in the July class if there is any drop outs.

Anybody else get the Sept. class date?

Growth

Sounds like lots of growth this year and next - they went from 3 Captain upgrade classes in 2005 to 5, with additional new hire classes too.

The latest word is six new hire classes in 2006 - probably upgrade classes in there as well.
