Anyone have any gouge on the Kalitta Air(747) interview. Any info would be greatly appreciated. PM me or post it here. Thanks.

Is Kalitta hiring? If so, are all pilots based in Yip - how does it work. I remember them pre-Kitty Hawk days - Kalitta was a force to be reckoned with.........

So, how many are they hiring and where do they normally fly?

Not really sure how many. Looks like there doing a lot of stuff over to the desert. If you go to there website at kalittaair.com they have a schedule posted.

They have a class of 35 going through right now. Half of the class are the 727 pilots which KA just parked. A quarter are call backs and the rest are mostly Airline ferloughees. Plans are for another class after this one. I think interviews are starting this week.

Everybody is based out of YIP, though many live all over.

Why did Kalitta just park his 727's...........how many 72's did he have?

Kalitta Charters Too

Not really sure the real reason. They had three. Supposedly they will be put on a different cirtificate and call it Kalitta Charters Too. They will be looking for contract pilots to operate them.

Other than flights to the Gulf what does he use them?
Is he getting anymore?

Rumor

rumor on the field is, he got more 747's and the quickest way to man them was to rob the 72's of its pilots, there is a 72 parked on his ramp looks like it is ready to fly.
