Kalitta Air is hiring for a class in late June. That might be the last one for awhile, so get your resumes in quick!

I think you're right, the noseloader (707) will be the last airplane purchased for a while.

What great timing...you can be on the bottom of the seniority list for forever!

CSY, I don't think Connie's interested in the 5 GE powered Classics AAWH is parking. Kalitta guys & gals, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Connie's got a good deal on some JAL Pratt powered birds.

Connie doesn't want the GE power-mx is all tooled up for the Pratts. The Jal birds were pax airplanes bought for parts.

Anc?

Anyone know what the emergency was today in ANC? I am not gawking just wondered what made my day a little longer, couldn't be too bad because they required no assistance after landing

The rumor is that Connie has got a few JAL freighters lined up if he sees the need. Business is slow lately, but that means little in the long term outlook.

Also, I remember reading that Polar was not interested in selling them to any competitors - of course, that was last month. I'm sure if the price was right Polar would sell them to someone.

IAflyer,

Yes AAWH said they wouldn't "sell" the birds, but that was just their normal talk to keep either pilot group (Atlas/Polar) hoping they'd see them back on either side. They ARE for sale and they will go. More MC Classics will be available on the market in the near future.

Most seem to forget that AAWHH doesn't "own" any of their birds, GE does ;)

AAAHHHH yes the wizards at AAWWH!!! They were not interested in selling Polars 100's to the competition either.. So they decided to take the data plates off of them and sell them to a parts dealer, to never fly again.. Until Connie shows up and picks up all 5, rumor has it for 25mil total, buys data plates from Boeing. And has been quoted, "I like doin business with them coc#$ukers at Atlas" .
