Ironically, I took the same flight that Ironspud claims he was on. I had a different experience. ORD-JAX

The flight left 45 minutes late due to some sort of crew issue. The crew didn't say anything on the PA until we were halfway there. They welcomed us aboard and told us the route of our flight enroute to Orlando. Sad thing is, we were going to JAX, not MCO! I guess it took them a while to figure that one out because they came back on a few minutes later and confirmed it was JAX and not MCO. In addition there was no apology for the delay, no nothing. The airplane was very shiny and very clean. Whoopty freakin' doo.

The ride was turbulent the majority of the flight. Again, no PA announcement regarding the turbulence, just a few climbs and descents that made you feel like you were either free falling free falling or pulling negative G's.

Left about 45 mins late and arrived about 30mins late. The crew did say they hoped to make it up to us on another flight. I'm quite sure that won't happen!

Baaaad price!

I'm tellin' ya, this is NOT where it's at!
As a consumer, this is not where my money will ever go again.

If anyone has some of the crack Ironspud was smoking on his flight, please give me a hit. Its obvious that story was full of it. :pimp:

Who gives a f##k! You should worry about your own airline and their wonderful PA's.

Nice try, but I don't fly for a passenger airline.

SCAB

Wondering if the three GJ Captains that have moved on to Continental are regretting their so called Scab status.

My name on a list???? Means I have a job.....

So, by your logic, you're saying CAL will be around forever?? Ask the folks at Pan Am, Braniff, TWA, (possibly DAL) and the list goes on and on.....One thing is for certain, NOTHING is for certain in aviation. I know this poor guy that was an EAL scab...Poor bastard can't even hold down a part 135 job, at age 70 he still has to work, has no friends, and can't sleep at night.....People scab for one reason or another....Want to fly a big jet....Need to pay the bills....Hate the union...Or just want to be a prick! What's your excuse!?

wanna fly cuzz i love to fly......amazing how you unhappy pilots are flying and taking jobs from those of us that wanna fly for the love of it....do yourself...your fellow pilots that enjoy flying, your family, that is sick and tired of your complaining and most importantly your customers a favor and quit.

I think you responded quite honestly this time, and did not create further fictional g0jet pilots advancing to fedex, ups, airtran, jetblue, southwest and the other airlines hiring professional pilots. All of these airlines hire professional aviators who are proud of their chosen career and profession, and yes, love going to work. That is why they have hired hundreds of tsa pilots over the years. G0jet pilots? None. Or is it one?

Your love of flying is no excuse for the alter ego whipsaw airline you have joined. This is a small industry, and all the players know who the other players are. Aviation always has a sad end for scum like you.

Sorry redbook....couldnt understand your tirade.....maybe you should try again when you've stopped your crying.

Tsa pilots post here and engage you in this debate only to expose you to the rest of the industry for the scum you are.

Thank you for playing your part.

Frankly, I think we'd all be better off if more "unhappy" pilots were taking jobs from the likes of you "that wanna fly for the love of it...."

Of course, by "unhappy" I mean able to discern behaviors and attitudes which harm the profession like scabbing, alter-egoing, whipsawing, union-busting, etc. And by "fly for the love of it" I mean willing to take any job, anywhere, under any terms to get a little personal career advancement.

You can love to fly and still not be happy with the way things seem to be going in the industry. The two are not mutually exclusive.

I love the flying part of my job but that won't stop me from working to improve everything else about my job that isn't quite as enjoyable.

I was forced to deadhead on GJ by the company yesterday out of STL to get to work. The crew was proffessional and the flight was good. But just because that was the case these guys should not get some reward or anymore slack. Is that not suppose to be their job? It still does not make what is happening around here on the up & up. On a side note we overheard their captain tell the FA that they had lost five guys to the majors this last month. But he did not say to whom.

Well Spring Training is under way. Maybe a few got called up to "The Show.":D
Seriously, who would leave GJ to go to some crappy Major? 70 seat flying is the wave of the future, right?

Considering the fact that the CAL ALPA MEC Chair was a SCAB it seams that CAL would hardly care... Infact, I believe that few majors would care. But does that make it right? I don't think so - and if you don't care you're the problem with this industry... Pricks.
