I don't think there will be an LAX base. Too expensive. Not much space. Plus if you listen to the latest rhetoric now, it's not lax that makes sense, but a southern california base that makes sense...So let's pick the biggest $hithole out there and that's gonna be your base. Fresno, Visalia, Stockton, Modesto....pick one. But I'd bet you a stripe it aint gonna be lax

I just delivered one of our RJs to SKW at FAT. Looks like the proximity to SFO, and the Sierras would make for a decent place if you're the out-doorsy type.

I hear through "the vine" that when we get our 14 Q-400's we WILL have the LAX base and ALSO hire some more dispatchers!

It does make sense if you look at the amount of flying 'they' want to do down there....I just don't see how we're gonna fit down there. You already have to wait 8 million years for a parking spot if you get one broken megawhacker or mad dog...if we double, or triple the amount of flying out of there, it will be pure mahem....unless they have some other grand parking scheme. Maybe their 'southern california' base will be in Reno!!!
