I'm new to the 121 world and am experimenting with Jumpseating. Anybody know anything about Jumpseating with FedEx? I am just wondering if it's possible and if it is where do you find their schedules and get lined up to get on a flight?

For now you can pretty much forget about it. Unfortunately, they are not allowed to take anybody, it's not the pilots fault. Some kimd of management crap. I heard when they did take them though it was a great experience, cater you a meal(s), ect.

It would be nice to be able to get it back since they go so many places around the world.

Wacko FO

It is possibly b/c of the Fed Ex FO that went berserk while jumpseating. Went midevil w/ a hammer and I believe a spear gun. It was a few years ago but I believe after it no more jumpseating. I apologize in advance if my specifics are off.

Your specifics are off. They allowed jumpseaters up until the Federal government stop offline JS after 9-11.

Our employees can ride as long as there are seats in back and the IRCD is working. The A300 has 6 and the 10's/11's I think have 4. The 72 has no seats aft of the door. Supposedly we are going to be starting CASS very soon that will allow offline guys to ride. There is no reason that we shouldn't be able to carry offline pilots now other than management using it as a chip. Once it comes back you will probably call the jumpseat 800 # and reserve your seat. You are right about the catering as well. If the flight is catered, they will try to include the jumpseaters if they know about you in advance. It seems like the only hard places to get to are JAX, ORF, P-cola area, and SAN. Those are the places I hear people complaining about.
