I work for a part 125 operator in TX. Is it possible for me to jumpseat on a part 121 carrier?
I'm told that only 135 and 121 pilots can jump seat as long as you are on a list of carriers. Didn't know if any 125 carriers are on that list or if the Capt. would let a 125 pilot jumpseat if it is at his discretion.

Thanks

Refresh my ignorance....what is a part 125 carrier?

I would say probably not but tell me the specifics.

Depends.

Who do you work for? Depending on your Part 125 operation, you may or may not be on the list, I believe we have one or two of the better-known carriers.

Who are you jumpseating on? Sky Nazis? Forget it. Colgan? Probably OK. A lot is left up to the Captain and a lot of crews don't really give a shiznit as long as there's room in the back, but then again, some people are kind of anal about it.
