For what it is worth, I j/s out of YVR on NWA to DTW once in a while, and Alaska to SEA. Alaska charges me taxes that amount to about $25 U.S., and NWA for whatever reason charges me zilch. As far as I know there has to be a seat open in the back (no flightdeck access), even if you are company or cass approved. Customs and Security recognize your uniform and will pull you out of line to the front, GREATLY reducing your time through the airport. You must preclear U.S. customs prior to the gate, so allow extra time. I have made it through the airport (check in, customs, security) to the gate in less than 15 minutes in uniform. The big variable is how long the line is at the ticket counter to check in. Good luck, and remember this info is worth exactly what you paid for it.

I don't think you can jumpseat internationally. Not even from "America Jr." Certainly not in the actual jumpseat.

I think. Could be wrong though.

??

I've jumpseated between ATL and Frankfurt on DL, and NRT-LAX on UAL. You can J/S intl...

I've also J/S from YVR-PHX on HP. Show your ID to the ticket counter. Bring a Passport. They will give you a jumpseat form as well as a ticket. Go through security, hit the duty free, and pay the 5.00$CA or (something) airport tax to the guy in the kiosk, and board as normal.
