I'm trying to find out the specifics for jumpseating on ASA, Comair and Airtran. Are all 3 limited to 1 JS, or is there a little leeway if the js is full? How about Shuttle America? With US Airway's new non-rev rules, does SA enforce the same?

ASA is limited only by the number of empty seats. So is Airtran, except that the second and any succeeding jumpseaters are issued a ticket and charged $25.

It also depends on the airline you work for.

Unless you are a Delta Connection carrier or mainline Delta, you may not occupy a cockpit jumpseat at all.

However, if you are the ASA approved reciprocal agreement list, you may occupy a seat in the back as long as there are open seats available after all revs/non-revs.

If there's an empty seat in the back you can hop on. All major and all the big name regional carriers are on our lists.

On Comair, as long as you are on the "jumpseat list" (most carriers are) then the only limitation is the number of empty seats.
