Hey, just a couple questions on jumpseating for Polar.

Given the choice between flying first/business with a legacy or flying on the 747F, which is more comfortable? I ask becuase I have the opportunity to nonrev with a legacy but I have to travel backwards first, so wondering if it's worth it for first class. It's about a 12 hour flight btw.

If jumpseating out of LAX, where do I meet the crew? I know it's somewhere at the south cargo complex, but that's a big place. Would it be easier to meet at the crew's hotel? Does anyone know where the Polar guys stay?

Thanks in advance.

WHOOP WHOOP. PULL OUT, PULL OUT! FERTILE FERTILE!

Kid at that point its TOO late anyway. You'd might as well ride that dog in and enjoy it.

If its a non US airline I would say yes for sure. First on JAL or Singapore is over and above. The polar guys have bunks and stuff but I dont think they will provide extra catering. Plus the polar FA's have to take turns flying the plane. Great group of guys over there so there should be some good BS'ing in the back.

Hehe, if they'd only make a GPWS for sex, Girl Pregnancy Warning System...

Unfortunately, if I go first class, it's with the jurassic FAs of our great US airlines. I heard those Polar FAs are really hot!

Seriously though, I gotta bring my own food? Well, at least I don't have to pay any taxes or anything, right?

They cater it for you... There will be so much food that you guys won't be able to finnish it. I've J/S on Polar and Atlas numerous times and we've never landed with an empty gally. I also sleep in the bunks great too!

I was checking out Polar's jumpseating info page....and the open 135 policy was shown...is that still accurate?

Under reason for traveling, what does one usually put there?

"need to visit with foreign girlfriend"

Anyone know if you have to pay int'l taxes? Also, do any cargo carriers allow FA's to Jumpseat? My wife is one for a legacy, but I would rather go cargo than commercial.... Just curious.
